Douglas Delay (Chief Governance Officer, GFA) was recently named the 2026 Volunteer of the Year by the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA)! This award is part of the Awards of Excellence, an annual series that honors individuals who’ve embraced the credit union philosophy to lead by example.

Doug has served on the GFA Board of Directors since 1985, providing nearly 40 years of volunteer leadership through periods of growth, economic change, industry transformation, and increasing regulatory complexity.

Beyond the credit union, Doug has shared his financial expertise, serving on the Finance Committee, Capital Planning Committee, and Town Manager Search Committee for the Town of Winchendon.

He’s volunteered at the Boston Marathon for more than 20 years and actively engages in local initiatives, such as The Delay Golf Memorial and Clark Memorial Summer Solstice.
