While some areas will experience thunderstorms as early as tomorrow, we're keeping our eyes on the weather this weekend — and we hope you are, too!
Before this beautiful 🌞 is traded in for lightning and heavy winds, take a few minutes to make your home as safe as possible with these four simple steps:
1️⃣ Secure any outdoor furniture, toys or other items that could be easy targets in strong winds.
2️⃣ Remove any dead limbs or other debris from your property, especially any that pose a threat to your 🏠 or 🚗.
3️⃣ Check your emergency kit to ensure flashlights and weather radios have working batteries. Have bottled water, non-perishable food and a first-aid kit on hand, just in case. Keeping helmets handy is also a great idea!
4️⃣ Unless absolutely necessary, do not attempt driving in inclement weather. The clearer we can keep roadways for emergency personnel, the better.
