🏠 REMINDER: BUILDING ADDRESS NUMBERS 🏠

Telford Borough would like to remind residents and property owners that the Borough’s Building Numbering Ordinance, No. 432, takes effect, Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following the one-year period provided for property owners to come into compliance.

Having your address clearly displayed isn’t just about following Borough regulations, it helps police, fire, EMS, delivery drivers, and other services quickly locate your property when needed.

Please take a few minutes to check your property and make sure:

🔹 Your house or building number is clearly visible from the street or nearest public access.
🔹 Numbers are legible and contrast with their background.
🔹 Trees, shrubs, decorations, or other objects are not blocking the numbers.
🔹 New address-number installations use numbers that are at least 4 inches high.
🔹 If your home sits back from the road and the number cannot be easily seen, the address is displayed near the driveway or other appropriate location visible from the roadway.

🚒🚑🚓 In an emergency, every second counts. Clearly displayed address numbers help our emergency responders find you as quickly as possible.

🚗 Car Seat Safety Week is Coming Up! 👶

In recognition of Car Seat Safety Week, the Souderton Borough Police Department is proud to help keep our youngest community members safe!

We have a limited number of car seats available to distribute to families in our community who are truly in need. Car seats will be provided on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Our goal is to make sure every child has access to a safe and properly installed car seat.

If you are currently in need of a car seat, you do not have to wait until Car Seat Safety Week to reach out! Please contact Amanda Koch at [email protected] for more information.

As always, you may also make an appointment with our certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) to have your child’s car seat checked for proper installation and fit. Car seat safety checks are available by appointment.
