This year has caused a lot of reflection for me. Just over a year ago, I asked myself how I could be of better service to people. How could I be a positive influence and resource to society. But most importantly, how could I do that while being closer to family and more present in life beyond work. Thus, I took a role at Bankers Life to give me some time to figure that path out. What I didn’t expect is that Bankers Life was exactly what I was looking for. A career that rewards my work ethic, mentors that help guide me each and everyday, opportunity to grow in my skill set to better serve clients, a balance in work/life that allows me more time with my family, and most importantly being that resource to clients to set themselves up to have that peace of mind they are searching for.

Last week, I got to celebrate many of the achievements made by my branch within the company. I also got to celebrate my first full year with the company by qualifying for our annual convention in the Bahamas, and by being recognized as the top Rising Star for the West Territory and the #3 Rising Star nationwide. The best part, I was able to bring my mother along as my guest to share in the excitement. But this award isn’t an individual award. Each of the groups of people I mentioned above played a role. Thus, I wanted to make a post that allows me to give credit where credit is due. First off, thank you to my family. The support you all provided me during my career change has been unwavering. To my mentors, both with Bankers and in other stops along my journey, you all continue to show me that success is simply a mindset you respond with, even when things look bleak. To my clients, you all have put faith in me and I promise to continue to work tirelessly to ensure that your best interest is always at the forefront of what we do together. Thank you to you all for the impact you have had on my life and career.

Now for the next year. As many of you know I started studying to become a Financial Advisor and relocated to join our office in Peoria, Illinois as a Field Director. I look forward to what we will be able to achieve with our agents here and how we can continue to impact people in a great way. Thus, if you know of anyone who is in need of assistance, or simply wants comfort knowing that their best interest is being cared for; please don’t hesitate to have them reach out to me.

2025 was a busy, stressful, but great year. Now to build on that foundation and make 2026 just as great.

Long-term care insurance isn’t as prevalent as other types of insurance, despite the fact that long-term care may eventually become an important part of many people's lives. Quite an eventful weekend to cap off a pretty life changing year. After deciding to make the move away from college athletics and begin my career with Bankers Life, I am honored to recognized as the Rookie of the Year within my branch, who also finished as the #3 branch in the entire company.

This award belongs to multiple people. My family and friends for their support. The veterans who helped guide and train me. But also the rookies who took this journey alongside me and helped me navigate all the ups and downs. All of this together helped me achieve goals I set out for, but also thought I was shooting for the moon. So, thank you to everyone who impacted my year. It was a long road, but you all cleared the path for me to be successful. I appreciate you all so very much.

If you, or someone you know is looking for a change professionally, but is scared to make the jump; please send this along to them. I would be happy to connect with them and share what opportunities they have with me at Bankers Life. No experience is required. Just the willingness to learn and soak up the information given to them by many of the top agents in the nation.

Big goals for 2026!
