Happy New Year!

I love that we all get to start the new year fresh!

There's something about the turning of the calendar, the fresh start to the year that fills me with optimism. Two of my ongoing commitments to myself are to physical fitness and fiscal fitness. Keeping fiscally fit is what I do for myself and my clients, I enjoy the planning and the strategy involved in connecting finances to goals and dreams, for my family and my clients. Staying physically fit is important also! Whether it's enjoying a ball game, horseback riding with my family or working out with my husband, it keeps my mind and body sharp. Sometimes, we fall short of our own expectations, or noticeable progress takes longer than we expected. The key to reaching our commitments is continuing to pursue our goals over the long run. One of the key things that helps keep me on track is an accountability partner. Whether it is my BOA, Deb here in the office keeping my schedule on track, or my husband and family keeping me active and enjoying a life full of excitement and activity.
So, in this month of New Year's Resolutions, I'm curious: who else out there has a good partner that helps keep you on track?

Thankfulness.

It's an attitude I have every day for you – my clients, friends and family.
When I undertook my Edward Jones journey just over five years ago, I did so with the express purpose of being able to serve my community
in a way that honored my values and was respectful of those with whom I interact.

I am grateful to be at a point where I can fulfill this vision in my day-to-day interactions with you all.

Deb and I are wearing purple today in support of a friend who lost her dear Mother to Alzheimer’s at the age of 56.

Purple is the color of the flower that the Alzheimer’s team uses to represent someone who has lost a loved one to the disease.

The Alzheimer’s walk for the Peoria area is October 2nd, please join us in helping to support the Alzheimer’s association in their fight to end Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia.
