On May 15, the Wyman Group hosted and presented a seminar for non-for-profit companies who are exploring the formation of an alliance for the purpose of increasing their purchasing power of health care insurance. Presented by Tim Wyman, the seminar was extremely well-attended with some of the largest non-for-profit employers in the city in attendance. Tim is reaching out individually to all those who were there and moving forward with the plan to form this association for the benefit of all involved. In our March newsletter, we wanted to share with you the actual cost of healthcare. As the article says, it is not just the $20 copay. We thought you'd like to see what the actual cost of some medical encounters are. Knowledge is power!
The key to controlling costs are multiple. Education on how to access, limiting the encounter to begin with (wellness), and controlling how best to spend for a medical event.
