⚠️ Severe Weather Alert for Illinois & Indiana ⚠️
Tomorrow has the potential to bring damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes to parts of our area.
A few things you can do now to help protect your family and reduce potential damage:
✅ Move vehicles into a garage or covered area if possible.
✅ Secure patio furniture, trampolines, grills, and loose outdoor items.
✅ Charge phones, flashlights, and backup batteries.
✅ If you use a generator, NEVER operate it inside your home, garage, or near doors and windows. Carbon monoxide can be deadly. Place generators outdoors and well away from the home.
✅ Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts, especially overnight.
As your insurance agent, one of the biggest mistakes we see after major storms is people filing claims before fully understanding how their policy responds.
📞 If your home, roof, vehicle, or property is damaged, please call our office before filing a claim.
We’re happy to help you understand your coverage, deductibles, and the claims process so you can make an informed decision.
Days like tomorrow are also a good reminder to ask yourself:
❓ Do I know what my wind/hail deductible is?
❓ Do I know how my roof is covered?
❓ Do I know whether my policy pays replacement cost or actual cash value?
❓ Do I know what isn’t covered?
If the answer is “I’m not really sure,” you’re not alone. Let’s schedule a Personal Insurance Review and make sure there are no surprises when you need your coverage most.
Stay weather aware, stay safe, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions. 🌪️🏠🚗
