🚛 Debris collection begins today in Santa Rosa County!

Residents may begin seeing debris collection trucks in their communities as crews start the first pass of storm debris pickup on publicly maintained roads.

Due to the significant volume of debris throughout the county, multiple passes will be necessary to complete collection. Cleanup will take time, and we appreciate your patience as recovery efforts continue.

Check out the graphic for important debris placement and separation guidelines to help ensure a safe and efficient collection process.

A few important reminders:
🌳 Separate vegetative debris from construction and demolition debris. Small vegetative debris can be bagged in PAPER bags.
🚫 Do not place debris in roadways or stack it against trees, utility poles, fire hydrants or other structures.
📍 Place debris in the designated pickup area between the sidewalk and your property. Avoid putting debris in ditches.
🗑️ Household garbage and debris in plastic bags will not be collected as part of storm debris pickup. Continue using your regular garbage collection service.

🟢 Santa Rosa County residents can dispose of vegetative debris at no cost at the Central Landfill, 6337 Da Lisa Road in Milton, Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as Santa Rosa County continues recovery efforts following Hurricane Isaias.
