Betty Evelyn Webb
1927 – 2022
While resting in the care of Covenant Care Hospice at West Florida Hospital, Pensacola Florida on November 12, 2022, minutes after a prayer requesting The Lord's presence, Mom, Betty Webb moved her lips and jaw to form the words " I Love you ", then departed her earthly bonds and entered into glory.
Betty Evelyn Carroll was born November 12, 1927, in Columbus, Mississippi to Arnett Carroll and Sarah May Carroll. She would be their only child.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; her first husband, Leonard Earl White; second husband, Nolan Webb; as well as several relatives and friends. She did not remarry after her divorce with Nolan.
Throughout her life, Mom lived in several different locations throughout the South, from Columbus, Mississippi to Houston, Texas to Panama City Beach, Florida to Pensacola, Florida to Milton, Florida and a couple of spots in between. For the last 55 years she resided in either Pensacola or Milton mostly Milton where she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
During her working years she held many positions and jobs. She was a secretary of a law firm in Houston Texas. She was a secretary at the State Attorney's office in Pensacola, Florida. During the late 60's and 70's she used her secretary and bookkeeping skills to gain employment with several of the local home builders. In the late 70's and into the 80's Mom utilized her abilities and started managing apartment complexes. Her final years of employment were spent as a caregiver to two elderly women before finally retiring.
The most important and probably the most difficult job Mom ever had, was the raising of her three adventurous sons, Jim (Charlette), John (Donna) and Joey.
We want to thank you Mom for taking care of us and demonstrating the ability to persevere. We miss you; we will see you again.
Love you Mom
