The global outage today was not the result of any type of, or security threat. Crowdstrike, a software company that helps with banking and other transactions, release a faulty update, causing many companies to lose access to their Microsoft Windows applications.

Because the conversation has trended to talk about cyber security, we wanted to share a blog post we wrote last month about this very topic. Whether you are an individual or small business owner, cyber threats are real and you should protect yourself.

Tomorrow at the East Hill Business 2 Community Expo, we want to engage you, connect with you, while enlisting your help supporting a charitable cause.

Wreaths Across America is a great organization that my family and I have been proud supporters and volunteers for several years.

Each year they fundraise for and place wreaths on the final resting place for those that served and rest in one of our national cemeteries.

The last day for donations is near, and we have a goal of donating up to 10 wreaths by the end of the night.

Bring in a declarations page for a no-commitment insurance review or quote on your home, auto, motorcycle, boat, umbrella, classic car, business, or one of the many products we offer… and we will donate a Wreath in your name, your family or household’s name, or in the name of a loved one.

A Halloween poem for the fraught Floridians and their fickle finances upon receiving their insurance renewal...

"Once upon a midday dreary, Floridians pondered, weak and weary, in their armchairs like an eerie Saturday afternoon of yore.
Over many a quaint and curious volume of college football scores,
They nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at their sunroom door.
“’Tis some solar panel solicitor,” they muttered, “tapping at our sunroom porch door — Only this and nothing more.”

Yet, alas! The truth was graver, not a specter, nor a wayfarer,
But the growing shadow of rising home insurance costs evermore.
In this land of sun and seaside, where dreams once did reside,
Now echoed the haunting cry from prices Floridians couldn't ignore.

“Woe is me,” cried many a soul, “for these insurance costs take a heavy toll!
Is there no solace, no control, from this burden we abhor?”

Then, a whisper through the night, a beacon of hope, shining bright,
“Turn thy gaze to this agency's light, and the answers you implore.
