We have been asked by many customers about what's in store for healthcare since President Trump is coming back into office. These customers are worried that the ACA will go away and that they will be left with no health insurance. It's unfortunate that they think that this could happen and it shows that the media did a great job at stoking fear in people that perhaps aren't engulfed in politics instead of reporting factual news.
The ACA is not going to go away and Trump will not take away your health insurance. The main fact of this is that there is way too much money involved. The insurance companies make too much money, the insurance agents and brokers make their livings on this, the lobbyist make and spend too much money and the politicians get too much money from this program for it to go away.
Any bill to dismantle it or take it away would never pass because it would be political su***de for a lot of the house members if they agreed to do so. I ask that everyone that reads this to just use common sense. Do yo honestly think that the insurance companies and their lobbyists want to have to beg for their supper? They get all their payments from the Government like clockwork and it's paid to them in advance. So if your premium is $1000/month before any ACTP credits, they are getting that $1000X12 up front. You aren't paying it because you're getting the ACTP tax credits, but the Government is paying it. So, think real hard on business and do you really think that these companies want to depend on brokers and agents to talk customers into spending that kind of money when they can just get it for free from the Government?
With that being said, your ACA is safe and even if Trump gets one of his ideas through which is to take away the subsidy from the companies and put it in your pocket so Government has less control of your healthcare, well... that means you will have the actual money in your pocket and then choose where it goes. Either way, the ACA isn't going anywhere. Have a great Friday and message us directly if you have any questions.
