What would you say to a friend who comes back to school after months in the hospital?

Sometimes the kindest thing isn't something you say at all. That's what Buddy the bear discovers in "Beyond Words," Aflac's children's book about empathy and kindness, inspired by My Special Aflac Duck®.

Like many children, Buddy fears he won't find the rightwords to make his friend feel better. But he finds the right actions, because sometimes kindness goes beyond words.

Aflac's Buffy Swinehart, senior manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, put a copy straight into the hands of renowned educator Ron Clark (.clark.54966) — and together, we're bringing that lesson to classrooms across the country.
