BeneTrend is thankful to have been a part of Fayette Chamber of Commerce session on Navigating Healthcare Options this morning.

Healthcare can be complex, complicated and overwhelming! The goal was to educate on the alphabet soup of options (ICHRA/CHOICE, MEWA, PEO, MEC, DPC), fully insured and level funding to help business owners make informed choices for employees, themselves, their families, and their business budget!

✨ CHOICE Arrangements ✨

On September 3, 2026, CMS announced that Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs) will now be referred to as CHOICE Arrangements — Custom Health Option and Individual Care Expense Arrangements.

While the name is changing, the concept employers have been learning about remains: a way to help employees obtain individual health coverage while giving employers a different approach to funding health benefits.

CHOICE Arrangements may offer an alternative to traditional group health insurance and can be worth exploring for businesses looking for more flexibility in how they provide health benefits.

📈 Healthcare costs aren’t slowing down — and employers are feeling the pressure!!

According to Marsh’s 2026 National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans, employers are bracing for an expected 8.2% increase in per-employee benefit costs in 2027 — the largest annual increase since 2003.
