Security Service volunteers rolled out big to support a great cause! We enjoyed a fun afternoon with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas for the Bowl for Kids’ Sake at Lucky Strike and Bandera Bowl fundraiser to make sure the event ran smoothly.

For decades, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been doing incredible work across the country, connecting the youth with inspiring mentors, and bringing our “People Helping People” spirit to events like this is what community is all about. 💙💙💙

Security Service volunteers joined PAWS FOR LIFE/ANIMAL WELFARE AND PROTECTION SOCIETY in Pueblo, Colorado, in setting up kennels and supplies for pets recently displaced by the Aspen Acres fire, as well as helping with preparations for their upcoming major fundraiser. It was truly a powerful day of purpose, heart, and true “People Helping People” (and pets) spirit.

As a sweet surprise, one of our volunteers fell in love with Ralphie and adopted him on the spot! Ralphie is currently completing his puppy socialization program before officially joining his new family.

We’re grateful to the PAWS for Life team for everything they do for local animals! 🐾 ❤️

In another adventure, Security Service volunteers teamed up with the Texas YES Project at Hillcrest Elementary School and the Mission Academy for a massive school supply distribution!

Our team got to work stacking supply kits, greeting smiling students, and tackling mountains of cardboard boxes - putting “People Helping People" into action so local kids have everything they need to start this school year strong. 🙌

Our Security Service volunteers were thrilled to join UTSA - The University of Texas at San Antonio Campus Services for the 2026 Move-In Day. From carrying boxes to greeting families and guiding traffic, our team worked hard to give both new and returning students a warm, stress-free welcome to campus.

Security Service volunteers joined United Way of El Paso County at Ascarate Park in El Paso, Texas, for a Day of Remembrance full of community, hope, and healing.

Together, they filled paper bags with sand to create the beautiful luminarias that lit up the Healing Garden - a peaceful spot to honor the 23 lives lost in the August 3, 2019 tragedy.

We’re grateful to everyone who lent a hand to create a space for our community to remember and heal together. Moments like these show the true heart of El Paso – and remind us what “People Helping People” is truly all about. 🧡

SSFCU Members: Mortgage payments scheduled for July 1 were delayed due to a processing issue with our mortgage servicer. Payments are expected to process by July 3 and will be backdated to July 1. There will be no impact to credit reports or accounts.
