She has 25 years with the company and began her career in claims. From claims, she transitioned into State Farm Life Company. Because of her previous careers prior to opening her agency, she has an in depth knowledge of all things insurance and State Farm. Aside from being an agent, she is a busy wife and mom of three!

As we move our daughter back on campus in the next few weeks this is why we will buy a renter's policy through State Farm in her own name.
1) While our home policy will extend to her stuff at school, we carry a much higher deductible than $500
2) We can choose the amount of coverage on her belongings. The policies through landlords or apartments often only care about protecting their interests and the liability limits.
3) If something happens, I don't want her loss to impact our discounts.
4) This starts building insurance history in her name which can help discounts down the road when she buys her first home.
5) A policy in their own name is extremely affordable!

Throwback time! 🎉 June 1996 was packed with fun, super-relatable “wow, that was really how life worked” facts:

⛽️ Gas prices felt wildly low (by today’s standards)
In 1996, regular gas was roughly around $1.20–$1.40/gal depending on where you lived—so road trips didn’t feel like a budget emergency. 😅

📺 The internet = wait… is it loading??
“Online” meant dial-up—that sound, the connection taking forever, and hoping you didn’t get disconnected mid-download.

🎮 Entertainment was more… physical
CDs, game demos, and borrowing stuff from friends felt way more “hands-on” than today’s instant everything.

📞 Phones were a whole setup
If you weren’t home, good luck—cell phones weren’t exactly in everyone’s pocket yet. (That landline was EVERYTHING.)

🏀 Sports were huge in June
June was prime-time for championship energy and major sports coverage.

💼 And a personal milestone:
