We have been through a rough year at Chuters. We took ownership and within two weeks, were shutdown. We have done all we can do to keep the doors open, from hosting private parties, to relinquishing our liquor license so we could open as byob. We appreciate each one of our patrons who have been supportive this whole time, but it has lasted longer than our resources.
It is extremely sad for us to say we have to close our doors for good. The overhead is just more than we can bear. We hope everyone will understand that this was a hard decision that was made, but it was one that was coming for a long time. Because of the virus, the closing of bars, and people being afraid to come out, there just wasn't enough revenue coming in to pay the bills. If we could see an end maybe we could come up with a plan, but we do not see this pandemic ending anytime in the near future. Everyone has become like our family here and we are just heartbroken that this has to be done, but it is something that can not be avoided. We hope everyone will understand that we have done all we can do. It is with broken hearts that we have to say that Chuters doors will be closing on December thirty first. Our New Years Eve party will be Chuters last event. We would be honored to have everyone there to celebrate our final hours together.
We are all thankful for the support we have been given and hope to continue the friendships we have made during our time at Chuters.
Sincerely, Chris and Helen Bergeron and James Kopeck
