These two behaviors cut through charm, performance, and social masks. Here’s why they matter:

1. How They Treat “Invisible” People
(The Waitstaff, Custodians, Cashiers, Delivery Drivers)
Why it reveals character: Power dynamics expose empathy.
When someone is kind to a CEO but rude to a server, they’re not “having a bad day”—they’re showing you their default setting toward those they perceive as beneath them.
What to notice:
Do they say “please” and “thank you” to service workers?
Do they make eye contact, or act like the person isn’t there?
Do they blame others for small mistakes (spilled coffee, slow Wi-Fi)?
