Mortgage rates had a little tantrum this week 📈

The 10 year Treasury jumped back above 5% after stronger than expected economic data had the bond market rethinking where rates may be headed.
Mortgage rates followed, briefly pushing toward 7.5% before getting a little relief Friday.

So what now? 👀

Next week is loaded with economic data, including jobs, inflation and manufacturing numbers. Those reports could have a big say in where mortgage rates go next.
If you’re buying a home, don’t just watch the Fed. Watch the data.

And remember, the mortgage rate you see in the headlines isn’t necessarily your rate. Your loan type, down payment, credit, occupancy and how you qualify can make a big difference.

Of course the birth was amazing, but bringing baby Julia home is when it really hit me… this is freakin’ AWESOME! A lot of you already have kids, so you know exactly what this feels like. I definitely think I’m getting a little bit of late start, but better late than never!
I’m looking forward to this new way of life, which for now includes learning how to still function highly on minimal sleep lol. Would’ve definitely been easier in my early 30’s but I relish the challenge(something for you younger guys to consider).
My amazing wife LAURA MORENO | LA REAL ESTATE had to do all the hard work, but now I get to step in and pull my weight!
