Check fraud is on the rise, and scammers are finding new ways to target people, both with paper checks and digitally. Knowing what to look for can help keep your money and personal information safe.
Here are a few simple ways to protect yourself:

✔️ Mail checks from inside the post office
✔️ Set up account alerts
✔️ Monitor your accounts regularly
✔️ Never send money back from a "pending" check deposit
✔️ Be cautious of unexpected checks sent by mail, email, or messaging apps

If something doesn't look right, contact your financial institution immediately.
