Our Branch Manager Daniel Herrera and Assistant Branch Manager Vidal Velasco recently attended the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce networking event at Fogo de Chão, connecting with local business owners and professionals from Pasadena, Arcadia, and Monrovia.

It was a fantastic evening filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and strong community engagement. The Arcadia Chamber continues to be a welcoming and dynamic group, and we’re excited about the opportunity to deepen our involvement and expand our presence in the community.

We’re looking forward to building new partnerships and continuing to represent PFCU across the communities we proudly serve.

Our very own Diana Herrera recently attended HERstory 2026: The Path Forward for Pay Equity, hosted by the City of Pasadena’s Commission on the Status of Women in honor of Women’s History Month. 💜

The event brought the community together for meaningful conversations around closing the pay gap and advancing workplace equity, featuring a powerful panel and excerpts from Lilly, the film highlighting Lilly Ledbetter’s fight against wage discrimination.

Pictured here, Diana had the opportunity to connect with Rachel Feldman, the director of Lilly, making the experience even more impactful. We’re proud to support events that uplift, educate, and empower our community.

Please join us in welcoming Victoria Scott, our new AVP of Business Operations at Pasadena Federal Credit Union! 🎉

Victoria began her financial services career just one week after graduating high school, starting in the file room of one of the nation’s largest banks. Over the years, she discovered a passion for lending while working as a Loan Monitoring Analyst and Commercial Loan Processor. After decades of experience across multiple financial institutions, she went on to serve as a Business Services Operations Manager for a large credit union. Today, Victoria brings that wealth of experience to PFCU, where she is focused on strengthening operations, project management, and process improvement.

Outside of work, Victoria enjoys traveling with friends and family, especially cruising and visiting all-inclusive resorts. She also spends many weekends involved in ministry, party planning, and scrapbooking. Fun fact: in 1993, she was a singer in the Super Bowl Halftime Show when Michael Jackson performed at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena!

Diana Herrera and Maria Campos had a great time attending the Bell Gardens 5th Annual 5K Run/Walk, a wonderful community event that brought together participants of all ages. The turnout was fantastic, and the energy throughout the event was truly inspiring.

In one of the photos, a grandfather and granddaughter duo proudly took 1st place in their age group, making the moment even more special and highlighting the spirit of family and community that made the event so memorable.

Maria Campos and Diana Herrera recently attended the Installation Gala for the Commerce Business Council, a wonderful evening celebrating leadership, partnership, and the continued growth of the local business community.

One of the highlights of the night was seeing Diana sworn in as a member of the CBC Board, marking an exciting milestone and a reflection of her commitment to serving the community. Maria also had the chance to connect with the CBC Ambassadors, strengthening relationships with fellow business leaders.

We’re proud to be actively involved with organizations like the Commerce Business Council that help support and uplift local businesses and community partnerships. Congratulations to Diana and to the CBC leadership team for another great year ahead!

We were proud to host the first ever Pasadena Community Business Academy in partnership with LIFT L.A. at our Lake Branch Community Center.

Over 25 entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners gathered to kick off this exciting program, coming together to learn how to establish, grow, and sustain their business ideas. From seasoned entrepreneurs to dreamers taking their first steps, the room was filled with energy, curiosity, and ambition.

Pasadena Federal Credit Union is honored to welcome these innovators into our space and support programs that empower small businesses and strengthen our local economy. We’re excited to see what these entrepreneurs build next. 🚀

Early mornings, meaningful connections. 🌅

Rick Flores was up before sunrise, starting his day at 4:00 a.m. to visit Pacific Vial and connect with their employees. By setting up a small display in their conference room, Rick was able to meet team members coming in and out of both shifts, making the most of one visit and reaching more employees throughout the morning.

The Pacific Vial team gave him a warm welcome, even leaving a welcome packet with water and snacks waiting for him. We’re grateful for partners like Pacific Vial and always happy to share how PFCU can support their employees with financial resources and membership benefits.

Please join us in welcoming Gerardo “Jerry” Aleman, our new Virtual Branch Manager at Pasadena FCU! 🎉

Jerry brings 21 years of banking experience, including eight years in customer service and 13 years in research and fraud operations. He holds both a BS in Business Administration with an option in Economics and an MBA with an option in HR Management from Cal State LA, bringing a strong mix of operational expertise and leadership to our team.

Outside of work, Jerry enjoys hiking, cooking (he’s currently perfecting his beef wellington inspired by Gordon Ramsay), traveling, and spending time with his husky—so much so that he keeps lint rollers everywhere!

We’re excited to have Jerry join the PFCU family and look forward to the experience and energy he brings to our team. Welcome aboard, Jerry!

Weekends are made for learning!

Rick Flores recently wrapped up a financial literacy webinar with Elizabeth House, and the energy was amazing. They were so excited about the session that they even invited their sister organization, Sarah’s House, to join in. Together, they explored goal setting, budgeting, spending habits, and practical money management strategies.

There was great participation, meaningful conversation, and even a few laughs along the way. Most importantly, everyone learned from one another. A Saturday morning well spent empowering our community through financial education.
