I am often asked if mortgage rates ever be 3% again? Here is my response.
It is highly unlikely that mortgage rates will return to 3% in the near future. While not impossible, experts suggest that a return to such low rates would likely require another major economic event similar to the pandemic or financial crisis, which are unpredictable. Current economic conditions, particularly persistent inflation, make it improbable that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates to the levels needed to drive mortgage rates back down to 3%.
