So we're going to have to get off the Darwin and realize how well you navigate this recession is going to be determined by how financially fit you are. Financial advisors recommend having 6 - 12 months of bill $$$ and paying off unsecured debt.

Great thing about homeownership, you have options. You can pull out cash with a HELOC and protect your low interest rate 1st mortgage (bc you all refinanced, right?) or you can do a cash-oit refinance. Pay off those cards, hold cash and ride the wave.
