Today 11/2/25 is my 10th year anniversary of being in business in the financial services. Here are my top 10 things that I have learned:

1. Most people do not have a financial education and desperately need it.

2. We all work for money, but few ever learn how to get money working for them.

3. Generational wealth starts with you.

4. The more you talk about money, the less money problems you have. The less you talk about money, the more money problems you have.

5. Money is a tool. Used in the right way with the right intentions, it can fix almost anything.

6. You are never too young, old, or in between to learn about money concepts.

7. Saving is good. Investing and saving at the same time is better.

8. “If you don’t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die” (Warren Buffett)
I would add this: If you don’t find several ways to make money while you sleep, you will have to work until you die.

9. Money has no emotion. Understand the differences between your logic and emotion decisions around money.

10. The top ways to make money are saving, investing, owning a business, and real estate. Rinse and repeat these areas over and over again.
