So many gems here. Motivation is a mo********er. When you're motivated, tasks seem easier and more rewarding.. So we need it, BUT how do u get it? And is it replicable? and if it is, what downfalls are there to avoid?
Years ago I was going thru some tough times in my life, which forced me to look at my own habits and evaluate them. I had to be brutally honest about what serves me and what i am a slave to. In that pursuit of forming healthy habits I notice that motivation is paramount. It can be like jet fuel for success in all walks of life.
Looking back, I am lucky I got this far with trail and error method. But also, it is really cool to see that there’s somewhat of a road map now on how to spark motivation, keep it going, and maybe as equally important the understanding of the pitfalls, like burning out, depression, demotivation ect.
Understanding the mechanism of change can be powerful. Habit forming isn’t glamorous. It takes time and effort everyday. At the same time you are not immune to relapsing or inadvertently forming detrimental habits. This video gives you understanding of the processes that are happening in your brain and body, and some tips and tricks to keep going and inch towards a better version on yourself slowly every day. Enjoy the journey my friends 😊
P.S. I really like this quote: “Good life is a progressive expansion of the things that bring you pleasure, which includes pleasure through motivation and hard work and the pleasure-pain balance”
