While I was in college, my father told me that if I took a class on personal finance, I would learn valuable skills and tips that I would use the rest of my life. I ended up being fascinated with the strategy behind long-term planning and goal setting, and four years later, I ended up getting a degree in business finance from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. After graduating, I got hired
at Edward Jones and became a financial advisor in 2017. I love learning and am a strong believer in staying committed to advanced education to help ensure my clients are implementing a customized strategy designed to help them reach their goals. Our number one goal as an office is to ensure you have confidence in your finances and long-term strategy. Our ideal client is a serious investor who wants to delegate planning and investing duties so they can focus and prioritize their time on what is most important to them. On a personal note my wife, Kellyn, and I live in Park Rapids with our cat, Boots, and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors of "lakes country", hunting, fishing, hiking and relaxing by the lake. I am very active in volunteering within the community through the Rotary Club, Chamber board, Historical Society board and softball board. We offer a free second opinion to anyone who is currently investing on their own or working with another financial advisor. We often find that that after reviewing a client's current investments and long-term financial plan, a few small changes can make a significant impact on their goals. Between investments, insurance, employee benefits, taxes and estate planning, the only constant over our financial lifetimes is change.
