You may have seen Madeline around here from time to time.

Madeline is my daughter, and she’s been working with our team for about nine years now.

Most of her work happens behind the scenes, so she isn’t always the person you’ll see when you stop by. Every once in a while, though, she ends up working from our waiting room and we manage to get a photo of her.

It’s been nice having one of my kids involved in the business for so many years. I’m grateful for what she brings to our team and even more grateful I get to call her my daughter.

One of our favorite Park City bus stops is by the Park City Library.

The theme fits the area perfectly, and it’s just 1.6 miles from our office.

What’s your favorite Park City bus stop?

Happy National Dog Day from our team.

These are just a few of the dogs our team members have fostered over the years. Fostering takes a lot of patience, care, and sometimes a willingness to say goodbye once the right home comes along.

We are pretty fortunate to have a team with such a soft spot for animals.

If you have a dog at home, give them a little extra attention today. We would love to see a photo of your pup in the comments.

Insurance can feel like one more level to figure out, especially when you have a home and vehicles in one state while living primarily in another.

We’re glad our team could make the Utah side of things a little easier for Melinda R.

“We recently reached out to Bryan's office for help with a second home and autos kept in UT. Living primarily in CA and having to manage policies in other states can quickly become overwhelming but Bryan's office made the process seamless! Would recommend Bryan's office both locally and for second homes!”

Thank you, Melinda, for taking the time to share your experience. We’re always happy to help make things simpler, whether Park City is home full time or just part of the year.

I should’ve been a cowboy 🤠

I grew up riding horses, so getting back in the saddle always brings back good memories.

This time was even better because we had the whole crew along for it. Kids, grandkids, horses, tractors, and plenty of time outside together. Watching the grandkids enjoy some of the same things I loved growing up makes days like this pretty hard to beat.

I may not ride as often as I used to, but it still feels pretty natural to be back around horses.

What are your favorite riding trails around Park City?

Have you ever found a holiday that was made for you? That’s how we felt about National Tell a Joke Day.

Bryan is the king of puns. We’re a day late, but we hope these still make you laugh.

Why don’t scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything.

I’m afraid for the calendar. Its days are numbered.

Why did the bicycle fall over? Because it was two tired.

What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta.

I used to play piano by ear, but now I use my hands.

Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? Great food, no atmosphere.

What’s your favorite go to joke? We’re always looking for new material.

We didn’t have a float in this year’s parade, but we loved being there for the Wasatch County Fair Day Parade.

Several of our favorite local businesses were represented, along with local law enforcement, 4 H, horses, families, and plenty of familiar faces lining the streets.

Heber has certainly grown over the years, but traditions like this are one of those things that still make it feel like a small town. We’re grateful to be part of this community.

We’ve been receiving calls from several of our customers in Henefer as the Rocky Canyon Fire continues to impact the area. We know this is an unsettling situation, and many people are asking what they should do if they need to evacuate.

First and most importantly, if you have been told to evacuate, please leave immediately. Your safety comes before your home or anything inside it. Do not delay an evacuation to gather belongings, take photos or complete any of the suggestions below.

If you are preparing for a possible evacuation and it is still safe to do so, here are a few things that may be helpful to have ready:

• Identification and important documents
• Medications and medical necessities
• Phones, chargers and portable battery packs
• Water and nonperishable food
• Clothing and basic toiletries
• Cash and credit cards
• Pet supplies, carriers and medications
• Irreplaceable personal items, if they can be gathered safely

One additional step State Farm recommends, only if you have plenty of time and are not putting yourself at risk, is taking a quick video throughout your home. Walk room to room and record your belongings. Open closets, cabinets and drawers as you go.

In the event of a total loss, remembering everything that was inside a home can be incredibly difficult. Having that video may make it much easier to create an inventory afterward.

Ready.gov has additional wildfire preparedness information, including what to include in an emergency kit:
https://www.ready.gov/wildfires

Please continue to follow evacuation instructions from the Summit County Sheriff and official Rocky Canyon Fire updates from Utah Fire Info.

Most importantly, please be safe. Our office is here to help our customers with insurance questions as this situation develops.
