It is that time of year again – summer is here – and every June brings the Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council Annual Special Estate Planning Event! We are extremely excited for this year’s event, and it will be bigger and better than ever!

For the past several years, we have been dealing with unprecedented times in the world of estate and tax planning. We have heard about sunsets, claw-backs, reduced exemptions, carry-over basis, potential attacks on grantor trusts, GRAT’s, and note sales, and more! In the face of uncertainty and fears of coming tax law changes, how do we plan for our clients. The GNJEPC is very excited and very proud to have none other than Daniel Rubin, Esq., as our speaker for this very special event. Daniel Rubin’s is one of the leading tax, trust, estate and asset protection attorneys in the United States. His practice concentrates on domestic and international tax, estate, and asset protection planning for high-net-worth individuals and their families.

Daniel is a member of ACTEC, and a distinguished presenter to various professional groups across the country. He has authored numerous articles on estate and asset protection planning matters for expert and scholarly publications. Daniel has presented on the national stage innumerable times, at the most prestigious national forums, including the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning several times. Daniel is a Trust & Estates partner in Farrell Fritz, P.C. – an almost fifty-year-old, prestigious, and dynamic Long Island based law firm – where he practices out of their NYC office. Prior to joining Farrell Fritz, Daniel was a partner at Moses & Singer LLP in NYC. Daniel has been named as one of The Top 100 Private Client Attorneys in the United States by Worth Magazine, and has been named as one of America’s Best Lawyers by numerous organizations and publications.

This is going to be a DON’T MISS event! You will hear the best of the best, from one of the best, so that you can properly advise and plan for our clients. Flexibility will be more important than ever. Utilizing trusts, and how they are structured, and the timing of when and how they are funded, will be more critical now than ever before. Daniel is going to bring his best to us, and we will get his best thinking that he brings to his clients every day. Come here the best ideas, strategies, and techniques for tax, estate, and asset protection planning, from one of the best of the best in the country!

This is our last event for the 2021-2022 council year, and it will be our best event! We will begin our 2022-2023 council year as we always do, with our annual kick-off event in September. We are hoping to begin the coming year in September with “hybrid” meetings – offering both a live and a web/virtual option! It has been since before the pandemic that we have held one of our most popular events… What’s Hot and What’s Not…with none other than Alan Davidson, Esq. As I am sure many of you remember, this annual May luncheon has always been one of our most popular and widely attended events, and rightfully so as it’s always been extremely informative and a great event. The big news is that WE ARE BACK – ALAN IS BACK – AND WE ARE LIVE! This will be a hybrid meeting, BUT WE WILL BE BACK LIVE and safe, and socially distanced at a NEW VENUE!

Alan Davidson, Esq., is not just a long-time member of the Greater New Jersey Estate Planning Council but is also a Past-President. He always has a great deal of very recent developments and updates, and he always presents on the hottest and most interesting topics and techniques. Alan’s presentation will educate us and bring us up to speed on what’s hot and what’s not for the past year, today, and moving forward! Alan always educates and entertains the audience great information, ideas, and very interesting topics. If you’ve attended in the past, you know this is one of the most informative – and interesting – events we offer during the year!

Alan Davidson, Esq. is well known in the NJ arena and is one of the leading practitioners in the field. Alan is also one of the most respected and most well-liked professionals in our industry. Alan will cover a great deal of everything, from big tax court cases to laws and legislation, recent developments, new and exciting strategies and techniques, what’s going on in NJ, the good, the bad and the ugly – in the world of estate and gift-tax planning, financial, elder care, insurance and business planning. Alan always picks the most current and germane topics and educates the audience so that everyone is aware of the most important things going on in our industry.
