Hollomon Insurance Agency is now hiring several positions in order to keep up with the expanding & progressive insurance markets. These are the positions that are currently available:

-- ACCOUNT MANAGER
-- SALES REPRESENTATIVE
-- CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

All positions are Full-Time from 9am-5pm (M-F). We offer a competitive salary base, and a large bonus structure, which is based off of the teams performance, not individually. And a 440 License would be preferred, but not required. If you have a strong work ethic & good employment history, then we would be willing to help you obtain your license during training.

The starting salary for these positions are all determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, and licenses. And the salary range for each position reflects the competitive market value for all employees in these positions across the state & national markets. Plus if you're tired of working under a corporate structure & would prefer to work for a local family that has been in this industry for over 4-decades, than this is the place for you.

And Qualifications are pretty simple. We love outgoing individuals with large personalities & great communication skills. Computer skills with the ability to work with several multi-faceted systems & analytical skills are a must. But here are a few details about each position:

SALES REPRESENTATIVE-
This position is for quoting & issuing new insurance policies through all our different personal line markets. And servicing these policies as needed, and providing policy documents to customers, realtors, and/or lenders for closings.

ACCOUNT MANAGER-
This position works with the sales reps, and assists with collecting signatures on all application documents, and obtaining inspections, certificates, and all other items needed for underwriting. This position will also assist in issuing policies in additional markets & processing underwriting requests.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REP-
This would be considered our Hybrid position, which does a little bit of everything above. But mainly assists our team with taking payments, processing change endorsements, and assisting customers with all of their policy needs.

Hey Everyone,

Again I hope you & your family are safe & healthy during this tumultuous time in our lives. I wanted to reach out & discuss renewals for a minute. We are finally coming out of the claim period (well most of us), and these companies are now assessing the total amount of loss they have sustained - which is in the Billions. And customers are now starting to see the effects of Hurricane Michael within their insurance renewals. And it's a mixed bag! What I mean by that, is we have some insurance companies raising their premiums up extremely high. We have some companies keeping rates close to the same. And we even have some companies out there decreasing their rates - which is hard to believe. But they are rolling the dice, in an effort to expand their business here within the state. So like the stock market, the insurance market is also in a volatile state. And it's going to take it a couple years away from this monster Cat-5 storm that wiped us out, before it settles back down. But the reason for my post is to tell you that if you receive your renewal, and if the renewal spikes way up on you -- do not panic -- we have tons of options for you, and I can almost promise you that we can not only find you something comparable to your previous rate, we may even beat your previous rate (before it went up). So if you get a renewal that has gone up by a substantial amount, please give us a call, or shoot us an email, and let us get to work on it for you. And we'll help get those rates back down for you. Again, hope you are all staying safe, but at the same time getting back to a little bit of normalcy. May God bless you & your families. Take care!

--- UPDATE ---

Just wanted to let everyone know that our lobby is now opened back up. So if you need to make payments, sign documents, or speak with your agent - we are now open during regular business hours. We do request that you respect the social distancing guidelines that are still in place. And do prefer that if you are capable of making payments over the phone, or able to sign documents through docu-sign, please try your best to use those services, so we can limit traffic through the office here until we are into the next phases of this Global Pandemic - which should be in the upcoming weeks. We thank everybody for your continued patience during this difficult time in our existence.

And just to touch back on several questions that we've been receiving over the last two-months - the auto insurance companies are still giving out rebates for the months of April & May. Most companies are deducting April's rebate in May, and May's rebate in June. If you paid your policy in full, then you should get a refund check back from your respective company very soon.

And again, home insurance companies are net crediting loss of use or fair rental value claims from the loss of rent due to COVID-19. Most policies do say that you can file a claim if you lost use of the residence due to civil authority, but it most coincide a physical loss to your property, or a physical loss to surrounding properties, that blocks access to the use of your property. In otherwards, there must be physical damage to yours or surrounding properties. But there cannot be a stand alone claim, due to the pandemic. It's unfortunate, and you may see them add this coverage on to future policies in the upcoming years, due to this pandemic. But for now, it's not a covered peril unfortunately.

We hope that everyone is doing well, and hanging on to this last little bit of sanity that we all have left. Hopefully things will trend back in the right direction, which is just in time for summer. And everybody can get back to work, and adjust back to their regular daily lives.

On a more personal note, I have been blessed to continue my business, as we've been considered an "essential" business. But not everybody has been so lucky, and it's not their fault. If you're in a bad position, due to the fact that you haven't been able to work -- or if you know anyone in a bad position, especially those with children. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me. No one should have to go hungry, no one should have to go without the basic essentials to live, especially due to a global pandemic, that is no fault of their own. Especially innocent children. Hey Everyone,

We hope that you & your families are staying safe & well during this difficult period in our existence. There are a few updates that we wanted to get out to everybody:

Until further notice by the federal & state governments, our lobby remains closed. But our staff continues to work regular business hours, which we can still be reached Monday-Friday from 9:00am till 5:00pm - by phone or by email. We do have a drop-box right beside out front door, so if you need to drop by a payment or a signed document, just put it in the drop-box, as we are checking the box daily.

We've been getting a lot of calls about the stimulus rebates offered by auto insurance companies - and this information is correct. All of our auto insurance carriers are compensating around 20% each month (per vehicle). And they are giving you back 2-months worth of credit. Depending on how this pandemic plays out. That may get extended, but 2-months is the amount that they are currently delegating. If you guys pay your auto policy every 6-months in full, then they will send you a refund check in the mail for those 2-months. If you pay on a monthly basis, then they will be deducting that from your next 2 monthly payments.

And the last item we've been getting calls on is in regards to loss of use or loss of rental income during this pandemic. And unfortunately, this is not something home insurance companies are compensating for currently. On most policies, there is coverage for loss of use if civil authority prohibits use - but only if it coincides a peril. For example, let's say we have a hurricane (God forbid), and the civil authority says there is too much damage, and will not allow residents or tenants to return to the area, then you can claim loss of use or loss of rental income along with your hurricane claim. But they will not pay out on a stand alone loss of use or loss of rental income claim unfortunately. We hate to be the bearer of bad news on that one, because we know that this is definitely effecting several people with vacation rentals here in Panama City Beach.

We are hoping that these restrictions get lifted sooner than later, so that our communities can start putting the pieces back together again. Again, we hope that you guys are all doing well. Together we will all get through this, and come out stronger & more unified because of it. May God continue to bless you & your families. Hello everyone, we know that this must be a very difficult and demanding time for you all. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the families that have been directly affected by job closures. Not only in our community, but across the entire country.

During this "social distancing" time, our lobby remains partially-closed to the public, but our agency remains fully-operational during regular business hours. And you can still reach our office by phone, fax, or email.

We do understand the unique position of a few, that are unable to pay or esign paperwork online. So if you need to come by the office to sign or to pay, please call ahead to let us know, as we are trying to limit the traffic here in the office, and we are limiting our capacity to 1-customer at a time.
