It's that time of the year again! A much-loved community tradition is almost here. The 37th Annual Palmerton Community Festival is scheduled to take place in the Palmerton borough park on September 11th, 12th, and 13th, right across from our Main Office. First Northern Bank and Trust is proud to support this fun event with a Diamond Level Sponsorship.

The Palmerton Festival Corporation holds this fundraiser as a way to help non-profit groups in the area raise money for their fire companies, church groups, scout troops, VFWs, booster clubs, and more. First Northern Bank and Trust is honored to support American Legion Post 927 and their Be The One initiative for veteran su***de prevention. The End of Summer Bash fundraiser will take place on Sunday, September 6th, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Gilbert. The charity works to help reduce the number of veterans and service members lost to su***de and raise awareness of the growing epidemic of veteran su***de. Attendees can look forward to live music, vendors, food trucks, and speakers.

The American Legion is the largest wartime veterans service organization with more than 1.6 million members in roughly 12,000 posts across the nation. Be The One is their primary mission, empowering veterans, service members, their families, and civilians to act appropriately when a veteran may be at risk.

First Northern Bank and Trust was proud to be a One Cork Sponsor for the recent 2026 Casks and Corks fundraiser for the Cay Galgon Life House. The event took place at Black River Farms in Bethlehem, where participants celebrated with wine and spirits tastings, and lite fare, and live music.

Cay Galgon was a wonderful woman, community leader, and champion for pregnant women and their babies. Her legacy lives on in the former St. Simon and Jude Convent, renamed in her honor. Since opening in 2021, the Cay Galgon Life House has evolved from a group home with seven rooms for homeless, pregnant women into a nonprofit, community resource that supports more than 500 women and families each year. Programs and services are designed to advance the mission of preparing pregnant women and mothers of infants for a life of self-reliance.
