Less than a week after the Great Shake Out, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck southeast of San Jose along the Calaveras Fault. Shaking was felt throughout the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Salinas, Merced, Fresno, San Rafael and as far as Stockton.
