❤️ Come Celebrate Luke’s Birthday by Saving a Life
On September 11, 2017, our world changed forever.
Our 10-year-old son, Luke, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) after what we thought was just a fever and ear infection. Over the next eight months, Luke endured four rounds of intensive chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, more than 150 days in the hospital, and over 60 units of blood and platelets.
Because of generous blood donors, we were blessed with precious extra time with Luke.
Sadly, on May 24, 2018, Luke went home to be with Jesus after his leukemia returned. Although our hearts were broken, Luke left us with something incredible—a heart for helping other children fighting cancer.
During his treatment, Luke often talked about wanting to help others. That’s why each year, on Luke’s birthday, we honor his legacy by giving others the gift of hope through blood donation.
❤️ Every donation has the potential to save up to three lives.
This summer, blood donations are especially needed. If you’ve ever thought about donating, we’d be honored if you would do it in Luke’s memory.
