For citizens completing clean up in or near the Ozark area impacted by Monday morning's tornado that have vegetative debris to clean up, that can be burned, here are some recommendations to follow:

First, if planning to burn debris, contact the non-emergency line for 9-1-1 Dispatch at 479-667-4176 and request to be placed on the Burn Log. This is so that if something should go wrong, the dispatchers will already have your location and contact information for a fire department response.

If in city limits, there may already be a service provided for disposal of debris, so check in with city hall.

✅Check Local Regulations: Ensure burning debris is allowed in your area and follow any restrictions or guidelines set by your local authorities. Remember, vegetative debris only, no trash or synthetics.
✅Choose the Right Location: Select an open area away from buildings, trees, and power lines. Keep a safe distance from your home and other flammable materials.
✅Prepare the Area: Clear the area around the burn site of dry leaves, grass, and other flammable materials. Have a water source nearby, such as a hose or buckets of water, to extinguish the fire if necessary.
✅Use Safe Burning Methods: Avoid using gasoline, kerosene, or other accelerants to start the fire, as they can cause sudden flare-ups or explosions. Instead, use dry wood and kindling to start a controlled fire.
✅Monitor the Fire: Stay with the fire at all times and never leave it unattended. Keep children and pets away from the burn site.
✅Extinguish Thoroughly: Once you're done burning debris, make sure the fire is completely extinguished. Douse the embers with water and stir them to ensure all flames are out.

If you feel a shock, swim away from the dock!🏊⚡

According to SafeElectricity.org, if you are in the water and feel electric current, you should shout to let others know, try to stay upright, tuck your legs up to make their self smaller, and swim away from anything that could be energized. Do not head to boat or dock ladders to get out – if possible, swim to the shore.

🎉 Sponsor Shoutout 🎉

A big thank you to **Farm Bureau Insurance** for sponsoring our **Buckaroo Games** and **Mutton Bustin’** at **NFC Rodeo on the River**!

These events are always a crowd favorite and give the youngest cowboys and cowgirls their time to shine in the arena. From big smiles to big rides, it’s some of the most fun you’ll see all weekend—and we couldn’t do it without the support of Farm Bureau.

We’re proud to have a sponsor that supports our youth, our families, and our community. Be sure to help us thank them! 🤠🐑
