What you need to do if moving (or moved) out-of-state.

You must report a change of address to DMV within 10 days of the change .Use the Change of Address (DMV14) form notify the Department of a changer of residence or mailing address for your vehicle vessel, driver licnse,or identification card record.

True or false - you must apply for a REAL ID driver license or identification card by Oct. 1, 2020? FALSE! REAL ID is optional, and Oct. 1, 2020 is when stricter federal ID requirements begin - but you can still apply after that date. Learn more at REALID.dmv.ca.gov.

Are you aware of the new law? If you still have your paper plates from the dealership when you purchased your vehicle it's time to put your license plates on.

APRIL FOOLS : JOKES ON YOU

Today officially marks the first day that you have NO excuse to have no plates on your vehicle. January 1, 2019, the law went into effect, so if you bought your car on that date or after, it has to have plates as of today. (Even if it’s the dealer issued numbered plate) So, in honor of this momentous occasion, we are out having our own April Fools Enforcement on plates, Front AND Back.
So April Fools,... or maybe our jokes aren’t that funny. At least informative.
(See something familiar below?,...& some people conveniently carry them in the envelope from DMV in the car, but not on the car,... hmmm)
