Closing out credit cards you don't use anymore or that have high interest rates is no big deal right? Wrong! When you close out a credit card your entire history of payments disappears from your credit scores, depending on how long the card was open for it can completely stop the homebuying process. ​Questions? We share with profound sorrow the passing of World War II veteran Stan Nelson of Anoka, Minnesota, who left us on November 20, 2025, at the age of 105. A hero in every sense, his courage was forged on the violent waters of the English Channel.

As a Lieutenant (j.g.) and Communications Officer aboard LCI-492, Stan rode in the first wave on D-Day, steering his landing craft again and again into the inferno of Omaha Beach. With every run, he carried soldiers toward history—drawing enemy fire away from them, risking his own life so others might reach the shore.

He did not just witness history.
He helped shape it.

Rest in peace, Stan Nelson. Your courage endures. 🕊️🇺🇸
