Back-to-school shopping is not only a hectic time for both parents and students, but is also a prime time for scammers to confuse you with fake shopping links. As a community bank committed to safety and security, we want to provide you with three helpful tips to ensure you are shopping safely:
1. Website security: Look for https:// and a lock icon in the search bar.
2. Link safety: Type URLs directly. Never click email or sms links!
3. Payment: Use credit cards or PayPal when possible.

What a fantastic weekend at Dragon on the Lake in Downtown Lake Orion! 🐉

The Oxford Bank team loved spending time with our community, meeting new faces, reconnecting with friends, and celebrating one of Lake Orion's favorite traditions. We were honored to have the community art project "The Eyes of the Festival" by our booth and a BIG shoutout to all the amazing chalk artists who competed this year!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We're proud to support the communities we serve and can't wait for next year's event!

It's good to have a cushion, but idle cash sitting in a low-interest checking account isn't doing much for you. A sweep account fixes that automatically: once your balance crosses a threshold you set, everything above it "sweeps" into a higher-interest-earning account at the end of each business day — then sweeps back when you need it for daily transactions.

You keep full access to your operating cash. You just stop leaving extra earnings on the table while it sits there.

Did you know check and ACH fraud is one of the most common ways businesses lose money? And often, the first sign is a phone call after the fact.

The good news? Positive Pay flips the script: you submit a list of checks or ACH transactions you've actually authorized, and anything that doesn't match gets flagged before it's paid.

It's a simple layer of protection that catches altered checks, counterfeit items, and unauthorized transactions before they become a loss.
