Today's post discusses the Debt-to-Income ratio, a crucial percentage involved in getting approved for a mortgage. To calculate your own DTI, follow these steps:
1. Add up your minimum monthly payments.
2. Divide your monthly payments by your gross monthly income.
3. Convert the result to a percentage.

Various loan programs have different DTI requirements, but Rocket advises to stick to 50% or lower.
