600+ cones. Three communities. One seriously sweet evening!🍦

Our 2026 HomeTown FREE Cone Day was a sweet success! Earlier this week, we served more than 600 free ice cream cones across Northfield, Owatonna and Faribault — and we couldn’t have asked for better weather to enjoy them.

But the best part? Getting to spend the evening connecting with so many of the people and communities who make HomeTown what it is.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a cone, and spent a little time with us. We loved seeing so many familiar faces — and plenty of new ones, too!

We’re already looking forward to the next one!🤍

We were thrilled to have staff represent HomeTown Credit Union at the Community Action Center’s Runway Revival on August 13!

Runway Revival highlights the creativity of local youth and adult designers who use recycled materials to create artistic and fashionable garments. The event began as a way to showcase the Community Action Center’s Clothes Closet and has grown into a unique celebration of creativity, sustainability, and community.

We’re proud to support events that shine a light on local talent and the incredible work of organizations like the Community Action Center. Thank you for creating such a meaningful and memorable evening for our community!

Earlier this week, HomeTown had the pleasure of sponsoring both a booth and a team at the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism annual golf tournament.

Staff brought their best CaddyShack decorations and attire, gave away lots of HomeTown goodies, played some great team golf, and even won Women’s Longest Drive!

It’s things like this that truly bring out the best in our community — Coming together for a great event, sharing business knowledge, and having fun together outside of the office.
