We are hiring - Supervisor of Bank Operations
The position includes performing audit and compliance functions, managing the banks financial operations, oversee accounting, financial reporting and budgeting, and compliance with banking regulations.
A bank controller manages a bank's financial operations, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulations. They are responsible for internal controls, strategic financial planning, and ensuring accuracy in financial statements, and typically require a strong background in finance or accounting and often a CPA certification.
Key responsibilities
• Financial reporting: Overseeing the preparation of periodic financial reports and ensuring accuracy.
• Accounting and controls: Managing the accounting system and developing internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Creating and managing the bank's budget and financial forecasts.
• Regulatory compliance: Ensuring the bank's financial activities and reports comply with banking regulations and accounting standards.
• Risk mitigation: Implementing controls and processes to mitigate financial risk.
• Strategic planning: Playing a strategic role in the bank's financial planning and future growth.
Required qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required.
• Many controllers have a master's degree or a professional certification like a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
• Strong skills in financial management, leadership, strategic planning, and attention to detail are essential.
• Experience with financial software and banking regulations is crucial.
