South Ottumwa Savings Bank is happy to announce we have renewed the Everfi Financial Literacy Program for the 2026-2027 academic year for Ottumwa High School. This program helps to meet the financial literacy curriculum required by the State of Iowa. This program is an engaging online resource that uses video, animation, and interactive activities to bring financial concepts to life. The platform contains nine modules covering topics such as savings, banking, credit cards and interest rates, credit score, financing higher education, renting vs. owning and other topics. Learning about financial literacy in high school helps to set students up for success as they navigate into adult responsibilities.
