Strong thunderstorms are likely by early evening. Keep an eye to the sky!

Strong to severe thunderstorms are still expected to develop in portions of Illinois this afternoon and move rapidly east. Damaging winds to 70 mph remain the main threat, with lower chances for large hail and isolated tornadoes.

The cold is coming! This is a good time to prepare. Check your back up heat sources, and make sure to leave your faucets dripping and cabinets open if your pipes are on outside walls.

Keep your eye on the sky tonight, and take shelter if necessary. Also, put your cars in the garage, just in case 😉

Showers and storms are forming over IL and IN and are moving northeast. Storms will continue to grow and form into the evening hours with severe hazards of large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes becoming more possible as well as ponding/flooding and frequent hail.
