🔴Good Neighbor Fire Fighter Safety Program🔴

State Farm® is honored to once again support the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program, which awards $10,000 grants to 150 local volunteer fire departments across the U.S. State Farm stands strong with the people who protect our neighbors.

🔥May 4-7 ONLY: Apply for a $10,000 Fire Department Grant!

State Farm® and the NVFC are teaming up again to support volunteer fire departments through the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program.

$1.5 million in grant funding will be awarded to 150 departments — each receiving $10,000 to purchase critical equipment that boosts firefighter safety and performance.

📍 States with 10 or more eligible applications are guaranteed at least one grant recipient.

The application period will be open from noon ET on May 4 to noon ET on May 7.

🌍 Happy Earth Day! ♻️ Wonder what to do with all those cords?

This Earth Day, take a closer look at your drawer of old cords & tangled chargers. Don’t just toss them—here’s what to do instead:

✅ Unplug & sort: Gather cords, adapters, and chargers (even mismatched ones).
✅ Check if they still work: If they’re usable, donate to a local school, charity, or community reuse program.
✅ Recycle properly: Many electronics/cable items are accepted as e-waste at local drop-off sites or retailers such as Staples and Best Buy.
✅ Don’t put them in regular trash: Cords contain materials that shouldn’t end up in landfills.
🚫 Avoid burning or “scrap” handling: It’s harmful to you and the environment.
