As part of Compass Federal Credit Union’s Member Day held on Monday, October 5, Compass FCU members were tasked to select a local organization to donate all event proceeds. After tallying all votes, the Oswego City Animal Shelter was selected to receive a donation of $1,800.

Proceeds from the credit union’s Member Day totaled $900, with Compass FCU then matching that amount for the $1,800 total.

Donations to the shelter are used to feed, house and care for animals within the shelter including food and treats, bedding, cleaning and maintenance, as well as medical and care supplies.

The Oswego City Animal Shelter is a municipal animal shelter and animal control facility managed by the city of Oswego. The shelter serves the city of Oswego and contracted Oswego County townships, housing stray, abandoned or surrendered animals; primarily cats and dogs.

Members have one more chance today to win gift cards from Compass FCU as part of International Credit Union Day! Compass invites its members to stop into each of its offices on Wednesday, October 14; Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 for an opportunity to win $2,200 in gift cards.

Did your student graduate from an Oswego elementary school to Oswego Middle School this year? Are they a member at Compass? Don't forget, Bank at School continues at OMS!

Compass stops in the second Wednesday of every month and accepts deposits from Compass members prior to homeroom. Our first day will be Wednesday, October 14. We hope to see your students then!
