Just to inform all of our clients, our office will be closing early today at 2:30pm Friday February 27th, 2026. We are closing early due to a memorial being held by the Wells County Bar Association for my late wife Donna Spear who passed away on August 3rd, 2024. Donna enjoyed traveling and treasured every bit of time she spent with her family, serving the people of her community, and helped touch the lives of everyone she worked with throughout her career. In 1996 she served as a Deputy Prosecutor, was a managing partner for Wells County Land Title Company, and joined the private practice of Lautzenheiser, Myers & Holdman that eventually became Lautzenheiser, Myers & Spear. Donna left the prosecutor's office in 2005 and started her own private practice, where she predominantly served as a Guardian Ad Litem throughout Northeast Indiana until May of 2024.

We appreciate all of our customers for their understanding and will resume our normal business hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday March 2nd, 2026. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Our office has had limited hours over the last week. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will be closed on Monday August 12, 2024 to celebrate “The Love of my Life.” We ask for your understanding as my family and I begin to navigate this new and difficult chapter of our lives. We will miss her terribly. She was simply the best!

Markle - Donna McCoy Spear, 57, of Markle, IN, passed away at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN, on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 1239 a.m. following a seven year battle with cancer. Donna was born in Bloomington, Indiana on September 19, 1966. She was the daughter of Peggy Wilson McCoy

The David Spear Agency is seeking a CSR/Account Executive to work with clients servicing accounts. This includes discussing and advising on insurance coverage, policy changes, filing claims, taking and posting payments to accounts, making sales calls, completing applications for insurance, filing, copying, assembling policies for mailing and delivery, preparing insurance quotes and meeting with clients.
Must be friendly, outgoing, and professional. Must have good communication skills, be organized and pay attention to detail while working in a sometimes very fast paced environment. The successful candidate must be licensed for property and casualty insurance or willing to get licensed. It is preferred that the candidate be licensed for life, accident and health insurance. Must also possess computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry. M-F 9:00 AM to 5:00
