The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is proud to welcome Alex Hummel as our new Director of Advancement.

In this role, Alex will lead fundraising, public relations, and community engagement efforts that directly support our mission to empower local youth. He will work closely with donors, partners, and community leaders to expand opportunities for the young people and families we serve across the Oshkosh area.

Alex brings more than 20 years of experience in journalism, higher education leadership, and strategic communications. He spent much of his career at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, where he held several senior leadership roles within the Office of the Chancellor, including Chief of Staff and Executive Director for External Relations and Communications.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alex and his wife have long been supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, making his transition into this role especially meaningful.

“Joining the team at the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is both an honor and a source of tremendous pride for me,” Alex shared. “This organization represents the very best of what a community can do when it comes together to invest in its young people. Hello Friends,
I am hosting a community event next week Wednesday April 8th and hope you can stop by😁
Jason Lowe and I will be sponsoring a watch party for the Brewer game with first pitch at 12:30. We will be serving burgers and hotdogs at the Dockside Tavern from Noon-5pm.
There is no cost, but we will be collecting new or gently used shoes for the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh as well as any new articles of clothing.
For any item donated to the club you will get a pack of baseball cards from our friends at Cardboard Legacy!
Come by and have lunch for a good cause!
