Business Sales Representative
Position Overview 📌
Shelter Insurance, Shane Landis Agency, is looking for an energetic and driven individual to join our team as an Office Representative and Sales professional. Sales is at the heart of our agency’s growth, and we seek someone passionate about driving results through value-based conversations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be motivated to contribute to our sales efforts, identify customer needs, and actively pursue opportunities to expand our client base.
Requirements 📌
*Property & Casualty License (preferred or willingness to obtain)
*High school diploma
*Quick learner, especially with new software
*Strong time management and organizational skills
*Professional, courteous demeanor
*Excellent telephone etiquette
*Ability to take and apply constructive feedback
*High typing speed with accuracy
*No criminal history
*Must pass a drug screening
*Reliable and punctual
*Sales experience is highly desirable, as driving sales is a core part of the role
*Proactive problem-solving abilities
*Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
*Professional grooming and business casual attire required
Responsibilities📌
Sales-focused agent support: Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients
Greet and assist customers while identifying sales opportunities
Manage customer files and data entry for follow-up
Handle incoming calls and walk-ins with a focus on converting inquiries into sales
Perform clerical tasks like copying, faxing, scheduling, and correspondence
Keep the office organized and perform light housekeeping duties
Sales lead generation: Proactively develop and follow up on leads to help meet sales targets
Understand and address customer needs, recommending appropriate products and services
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction while driving sales, including inquiries about insurance options, eligibility, coverage, policy processing, billing, and financial transactions

Additional Information 📌
We offer a competitive pay structure with performance-based incentives to reward sales success. While we prefer candidates with a Property & Casualty license, it's not a requirement, and we support your growth in this area. Sales experience is highly valued, as meeting sales goals is central to this role.
Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
No weekends or holidays
Bonus opportunities based on sales performance
