The sheer amount of spam calls I receive daily trying to scam me into a Marketplace or Medicare plan is alarming. Please don't be fooled by these people, many of them are bad actors with bad intentions. If you truly would like help with a health insurance product, talk to your local agent. They can sit down with you and actually show you options available in your area. If you are in Orange County or the surrounding areas, I am always happy to assist! Stay vigilant, use good judgement, and don't answer spam!

Do you have a Medicare Supplement, or Medigap Plan? Did you know the State of Indiana instituted a new rule starting in 2026 dubbed the "Birthday Rule"? This new rule allows anyone on a Medicare Supplement policy to have guaranteed acceptance into the same policy with another company, as long as it is within 60 days after their birthday. What does this mean? If you are paying for a Plan G with Company A but unhappy with the premium, you are allowed to switch to another Plan G with Company B without health questions being asked, for a potentially lower premium. This can be a great opportunity for those who have been stuck on their current plan but unable to switch due to health questions and underwriting rules. As you near your birthday this year, keep this new rule in mind if you see rising premiums costs!

I've been getting lots of calls from people that still need help reviewing their Marketplace options because of the sharp increase in premiums next year. If you have not looked at your new premium amount next year, please update your application and review your paperwork/emails because some plans have increased as much as $500-$600 a month!
