What does this mean? It means that, if done correctly, rates will artificially push lower. This is a good sign for buyers who are active in the market, increasing their purchasing power, help with affordability. However, it doesn’t mean that those that have 2% or 3% rates will now put their houses on the market to purchase something else, so inventory will still be an issue in many markets.

Pushing rates lower may mean mid to high 5’s…not 3% but this will still mean a tick up in volume-both purchase and refinances!

If this is executed properly our volume targets for 2026 will need to be adjusted up!
