My 4-year-old and I were playing this wooden labyrinth game after dinner the other night.
(It's a minor miracle we can still play it — we've lost the balls for it about 15 times. Story for another day.)
I got up to grab some Oreos for us. When I came back, she told me she'd made it all the way to spot 31.
I was Flabbergasted.
She said, "Yeah, watch this" — and dropped the ball in the bottom right corner.
"Honey, you have to start where it says START."
"No. I'm starting from right here."
Kids don't know they're supposed to start at the start. They just start where they are.
Something to say about starting where you are. 👣
