💥 Rates Back to 3 Year Lows! 💥
I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to over the past few years that have been waiting for interest rate relief… and we’ve finally got some as average rates have hit their lowest point since Feb 2, 2023 according to Mortgage News Daily 😮💨
You see, so many people got “spoiled” when we had record-setting low interest rates during the COVID years and it created this false expectation of where rates should be and return to. Believe me… I would LOVE to see 2-3% rates again, but it’s unrealistic for the foreseeable future.
I am not saying the current averages are the lowest that they’ll go (honestly no one knows, and if they say they know, they’re lying 😂 🤷♂️), but it sure is a good spot compared to the last 3-3.5yrs and much better than the 8%+ average we saw in late 2023 🤯 We should see another wave of buyers coming into the market as affordability improves, which will typically increase demand and competition for homes.
People are always asking when is a good time to buy, or when is a good time to refinance… the answer is when it is best for you, your budget, your goals, etc. There is no “one size fits all” and just like almost any big decision in life, you should be making an educated, data-driven decision to see what best for you and/or your family. Lastly, remember these are “averages”… depending on the loan application profile, rates could be even lower, or they could be higher. A 5-10 minute phone 📞 call, 💬 text, or 📧 email can give you a really good idea where you may stand!
