Owning a home has ALWAYS been seen as a significant asset toward obtaining generational wealth. In 2021 a homeowner's net worth was estimated to be 300,000, compared to a renter's net worth of 8,000 per the National Association of Realtors. A typical homeowner's net worth is roughly 40 times more than a renter's net worth.

As you may have seen over the previous five years, price growth on home equity has accelerated more quickly. From the third quarter of 2016 through the third quarter of 2021, median existing single family home sales nationwide increased by 8.5% yearly. Five years after buying a typical home, a homeowner would have 144,000 in equity, of which 121,800 or 84 % of total equity gains are due to price appreciation.
